New Frog Sounds [Apr. 6th, 2008|08:47 am]
Frogwatch USA
[mood |accomplishedaccomplished]

Hello everyone! I've just started to hear the spring peepers every night. Also, just last night I heard a mountain chorus frog. What frogs have you heard this year? Include your state (ex. Florida, Ohio, etc.). I'm from Kentucky; anyone else from this region?

Central Indiana

In the Frankfort Indiana area I have already heard spring peepers, chorus frogs, northern leopard frogs and american toads. The toads started about a week and half later than the last 3 years.

Frogs I have heard this year

My Nname is Kathy Kroon and I live in St. Louis Missouri. I am new to frog watch. I have always loved frogs and toads since I was a child. This year, I heard several grey tree frogs here in Missouri. When I have visited my father in Mt. Carmel Illinois, I have heard bull frogs, cricket frogs and eastern narrow mouted toads. I would like to help monitor frogs in my area. However, I am totally blind and would need someone to accompany me.
